Talk by Vasco Graça Moura
Vasco Graça Moura will be making a presentation at SIPO entitled A poesia da música e a música da poesia: uma experiência pessoal — The poetry of music and the music of poetry: a personal experience.
The talk will take place on the 31st of July at 6pm.
Art Exhibition Changed
It was previously announced that the guest artist for this year's art exhibition would be Maria Leal da Costa. Unfortunately, she will not be able to do it and has been replaced by Pedro Castel' Branco.
Adriano Jordão playing at SIPO
The guest artist playing on the 7th of August will be Adriano Jordão, an accomplished pianist who has developed his career all over the world and performed with many prestigious conductors. He conceptualised, created, and ran the Macau International Music Festival for five years and has been the Artistic Director of the Casa de Mateus Music Festival. He is currently the Cultural Attaché to the Portuguese Embassy and Director of the Camões Institute, in Brazil.
The programme has also been updated with some changes to the order of the concerts.

Cello teacher at SIPO
The SIPO 2010 edition will have a cello master class teacher, Márcio Carneiro. He is an excellent soloist and won the Tchaikowski Competition in Moscow in 1978. Thanks to his pedagogical qualities, André Navarra, his teacher, made him his assistant at a very early age. Today he is teacher at the Detmold Music Academy, Germany and is in great demand among “young talents”. He also teaches at the Conservatoire Supérieur Tibor Varga in Sion, Switzerland.
