Every student will enjoy four individual master classes with different teachers, benefit throughout the whole event from listening to all master classes and the direct contact with all teachers and fellow students.

Enrolment

Conditions

The master classes are open to professional level students, pianists beginning a career, as well as very motivated younger pianists.

The number of participants is limited to 40 students, without preliminary audition. Enrolments are accepted by order of reception. If necessary, teachers may hold auditions.

Students will be distributed among the teachers, taking into consideration their preference and the works they will be playing, as indicated on the enrolment form, although subject to availability.

Each participant has to present at least 4 works.

Pianos for study will be provided for each active participants for approximately 2/3 hours daily.

Every student has the possibility of performing in a public concert (5-10 mins), pending teacher approval after an audition.

All participants will receive a course certificate.

The enrolment has to be made via the online form (prefered method) or using one of the offline enrolment forms (MS Word or OpenOffice/LibreOffice) and sending them to pianobidos@gmail.com, along with a document issued by the bank proving that payment has been made. Please note that your enrolment will not be properly validated until full payment is confirmed.

Payment by cheque not accepted. In the event of your registration not being accepted due to lack of availability, your payment will be fully refunded.

The number of participants is limited. Applications will remain open until the beginning of SIPO.

Enrolment fee does not include accommodation nor breakfast

If the student cancels his or her registration after payment, he or she will receive a partial refund, which depends on the cancelation date. The refund percentages are  80%, 60%, and 25%, corresponding to the 3 registration periods indicated in the table above.

Bank transferal charges are not included in the enrolment fee and are the sole responsibility of the participants.

Please mention SIPO and the name of the participant.

I. Enrolment

1.1 – The enrolment form must be sent along with the bank transfer receipt (PT50 0035 0543 0000 3888 830 23) to the Association of International Music Courses (ACIM), pianobidos@gmail.com in the total amount of the enrolment.

1.2 – Payments will be accepted for participants until June 30th 2024, in case of vacancies being still available, and for listeners until the start of the master classes. In the event of withdrawal of the enrolment by February 15, 80% of the amount paid will be refunded. In case of withdrawal by May 15, 60% will be refunded, and upon withdrawal by June 30, 25% will be refunded. After this date, no refunds will be made.

1.3 – The master classes can be attended by a maximum number of 40 participating students, with no limit for listening students. In the case of applications received after the maximum number of vacancies has been reached, the organization will return the payment made.

II. Operational issues

2.1 – Professor Manuela Gouveia is in charge of the artistic direction of SIPO.

2.2 –
The master classes will be held in 3 rooms in the village of Óbidos.

2.3 –
The master classes will take place at the dates indicated and according to the pre-established time schedules between ACIM and the students.

2.4 –
Within the set time the teacher will organize the class.

2.5 –
Dinner is promoted by ACIM. ACIM can book accommodation and/or lunch pack at the prices mentioned above, for the duration of the courses.

2.6 – Participants and listeners who participate in all activities will receive a certificate attesting their participation in the master classes.

2.7 – The participants have the possibility to perform in the final concerts of the master classes – recorded by Antena2 – according to the indications of the teachers.

2.8 – The registration includes 4 individual classes with the faculty. Students will be assigned to teachers in order of arrival. ACIM reserves the right to assign teachers to students as the need arises.

2.9 –
Participants must bring clean and reliable source scores from the works they intend to work with the teacher.

2.10 – Participants are entitled to 2 hours of study per day, which can be extended to 3 hours according to room availability.

2.11 – Participants that cause material damage to the facilities where master classes take place or to other materials will have to assume the responsibility. If they are minors, their guardians will be made responsible.

2.12 – Master class participants are entitled to attend master classes and to free entrance to the Festival concerts.

III. Final dispositions

3.1 – Enrolment in the master classes presupposes the full acceptance of this regulation.

3.2 – The organization reserves the right to record sound, images or video of the activities of the master classes, so that the participants, when registering, waive any rights to such recordings.

3.3 – All cases not covered by this regulation will be decided by the organization.
